Billing & plans

Every account starts on the Free plan, and your first 14 days automatically run at Pro’s question and connection limits, with 8 AI schema analyses — no credit card required. When the 14-day window ends you stay on Free: nothing is deleted. If you have more connections than your plan includes, you choose which ones stay active — pause the rest from the Connections page (or upgrade) to carry on asking questions. When you’re ready, upgrade from Settings → Billing — payment and subscription management are handled by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages, so your card details never pass through Datarelix.

Current prices are listed on the pricing page. Billing is in USD, EUR, or GBP depending on your country, at the same amount in each currency; once a subscription starts, its currency stays fixed. Monthly counters reset on the 1st of each month (UTC). Pro and Team also carry a fair-use ceiling of 500 questions per user per day. When you reach a limit, the chat shows how many questions you’ve used and when the counter resets — nothing is lost, and your history stays available.

Every plan includes every feature: all supported engines, sandboxed Python analysis, charts, dashboards, and inspectable runs.

Pausing connections

Pause or activate a connection from its card menu on the Connections page. A paused connection keeps its AI schema analysis and history, but it can’t run questions or discovery. Only active connections count against your plan’s limit, so pausing one frees a slot; activating a connection needs room within the limit.

Deleting a connection

Deleting a connection removes its credentials immediately. The AI schema analysis is kept for 30 days, so re-adding the same database restores it without re-analyzing.

Upgrading

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Pick Lite, Pro, or Team (and a seat count for Team — minimum 2 seats), monthly or yearly.
  3. Complete payment on the Stripe checkout page.

Your plan activates within a few seconds of returning to the app.

Managing your subscription

Settings → Billing → Manage billing opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can:

  • switch plans, or between monthly and yearly billing
  • change the number of Team seats
  • update your payment method and view invoices
  • cancel — you keep access until the end of the paid period, then you’re on the Free plan

Team seats and invites

A Team subscription creates a workspace with the seats you purchased. As the owner, in Settings → Billing you can:

  • Invite teammates by email. Each pending invite reserves a seat; invites expire after 14 days and can be revoked.
  • Remove members. A removed member keeps their own account, connections, and history — they just return to their own plan.

Invited teammates accept via the emailed link, signing in with any account. Members keep their own private connections, conversations, and dashboards; the workspace shares the plan, not the data. If you reduce seats below the current member count, nothing is removed automatically — new invites are blocked until you remove members or add seats.

When a subscription ends

You land on the Free plan — your account is never blocked and nothing is deleted. Questions, discovery, and connections keep working within Free limits, and past conversations, run history, and dashboards stay available. If you have more active connections than Free allows, questions pause until you bring the count back within the limit: pause the connections you don’t need right now from the Connections page, or upgrade again.

Enterprise

Custom limits, per-user database identity (On-Behalf-Of for Azure SQL, Databricks, and Kusto), tenant allowlisting, priority support, and invoicing are available on Enterprise — talk to us.
